Very high Chat / Edit Usage

I have a problem that my Personal Billing Page claims that I have a very high Chat / Edit Usage, while in reality I have barely used the continue extension. My subscription renewed today, and in just a few hours the Chat / Edit Usage (Base Tier) is 89/500. I am using the default agent with relace/instant-apply, mistral/codestral and anthropic/claude-4-sonnet.

I have tried to reinstall the extension and delete the .continue folder. I have added large files in the project folder to git ignore. I have tried to turn off indexing. But no matter what I do the Chat / Edit Usage keep increasing very fast.

I would appreciate if you can help me out. I am using VS Code and Windows 11.

Hi @sestinj, When I turned off autocomplete in the VS code extension, the chat usage stopped increasing. Could it be that autocomplete somehow uses chat requests?

I have switched to the prerelease version, and it solved the problem for now.

This is no longer an issue in the newest version.
