A fix is on the way for this, should be out shortly. Apologies! Also opened a PR to clean up the docs: #7946 "Continue development team access" is not relevant anymore.
This is helpful feedback, we are shipping an "Add to account" feature soon that allows you to have account level models, rules, and MCP servers. With that in place we could make creating an agent an optional step.

In this blog post, the instructions to set up Mercury autocomplete are:
I signed up for the paid plan, created an agent (I didn't really want to create an agent; I just want autocomplete), changed the autocomplete mode for the agent to Mercury Coder, switched to the agent, and then got no suggestions. I see "Continue (NE)" in the bottom right, so I know it's trying to so suggestions. I tried both the stable and pre-release versions of the extension. The error in the console for each suggestions is:
What am I doing wrong?
There's also a different doc page (https://docs.continue.dev/features/autocomplete/next-edit) that says I need "Continue development team access". What is that? I can't find any reference to it in the docs.
