I recently finished the first version of django-prodserver which provides a django management command to interface with your production processes (WSGI/ASGI/background workers).

I figured cookiecutter-django would be an appropriate place for it to be used so plenty of people get to try it out and simplify the production processes interaction for newer people to Django

Hey Andrew! Nice see that you finished and released it 🎉 I'm curious to play with it and will aim to adopt it in my projects.

This template adopts established best practices and is usually more of a lagger than early adopters for new packages, so we might want to let it gain traction a bit... Although I feel like you want to gain traction by adding it here, so chicken and egg 😄 ?

On the other hand, the template might be a good playground to find missing gaps or missing features, and if django-prodserver simplifies it, then sure.

Hey Bruno, you nailed the problem exactly, I'm also going to ping a few other template projects and other relevant libraries to kickstart the adoption of prodserver. So I am in no immediate rush (hence this being an idea discussion rather than a direct feature request)
