Proposal: Agent Skills Framework to Improve Contributor Experience

I previously opened a PR introducing an Agent Skills Framework (PR #8317).
I wasn’t aware that larger changes should be discussed first, and since the PR was closed, I’m opening this discussion to properly explain the idea and get feedback before moving forward.

Why I Built This

Coolify is evolving quickly, and with rapid progress in AI tooling, contributors may want to:

• Add new service templates more frequently
• Create reusable automation logic
• Package and share structured functionality

I built this framework to make that process more structured, consistent, and contributor-friendly.

What This Adds

I integrated the Anthropic Skill Creator
https://skills.sh/anthropics/skills/skill-creator

and used it to build structured Coolify Service Templates.

Using this approach allows:

• Standardized skill creation
• Easier template scaffolding
• Reusable structure for future service templates
• Cleaner organization for contributors

The Coolify Service Templates were created using this skill-based structure to make adding new services more consistent and extensible.

Why This Could Be Helpful Long-Term

• Lowers the barrier for new contributors
• Encourages standardized contributions
• Makes service template expansion easier
• Keeps the project adaptable as AI tooling continues to evolve

Feedback I’m Looking For

• Does this align with Coolify’s roadmap?
• Should this live inside the main repository?
• Would maintainers prefer a more minimal integration?

I completely understand if this needs refinement or simplification. My goal is to contribute something useful and sustainable for the project.
