using the website for remote access is nice but you can't access most features, and i want notifications and stuff. plus stuff like shortcuts and a full-screen experience need a proper app imo. maybe build a separate client app?

That would be great because it would provide the opportunity to build an iOS/Android app in the future that can connect to the server (via Tailscale). The server (if headless, see #88) could then also run on a Linux server or Raspberry Pi.
