Not working after updating system

Hello, I have a question. Today I installed core and emu on xubuntu version 22.04. Everything went well but I wanted to upgrade my operation system to 24. After installation, core- daemon stopped working. There is a notification like such file or directory doesn't exist. I would like to know does this emulator works on latest versions of xubuntu. I am pretty new and do not know how to do it

Xubuntu is not a targeted OS, not sure what else has changed from your upgrade to say.

Right now due to EMANE packages, only 22.04 is recommended on Ubuntu. Would need a lot more details to understand what your system setup is at the moment. May be easier to start from scratch.

That's notification after trying to run emulator after upgrading system:
student@student-virtual-machine:~$ sudo core-daemon

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'core'

I also tried to install emulator directly on xubuntu 24.10 and instalation went wrong. The error was about indicators after command: make -j$(nproc). I tried to install it from this link https://coreemu.github.io/core/install_ubuntu.html.

Again Xubuntu is not a target, I would start from scratch. You can include the specific error if you want. Every detail matters.
