Qomui blocks itself

I have set  qomui to use the firewall when the GUI is running and keep existing rules. Sometimes it will lose connection. At that point it's hit or miss weather it connects or not. When it fails I have to restart the client because all internet is blocked, including connecting to VPN.

Both arch and ubuntu experience this but it's more common on arch.

Anybody here have a fix for this?
