Spacebar problem

Im having a weird problem,in the latest release.every time i try to press the space bar to go back to the map after scanning or after a battle the pause menu opens and im still in the goldsite,i tried to change the start key but it doesnt work. can i please get some help? also for some reason the game works fine in pre release 5.2.
