I wonder if the recent changes, probably trying to address the sticky columns issue have had some unintended consequences, as the drag and drop feature on my custom staff scheduling app is now not behaving as it used to. Please see the attached video which shows the shift being dragged suddenly appearing in the top left hand corner. It does end up being dropped in the right spot.

Fixing this isn't urgent as I have several workarounds if I don't use the drag and drop feature. If you're unable to fix this without compromising the solution for the sticky columns then just let me know and I'll throw it back to AI to try and resolve.

That's interesting... Not supposed to be for sure. I'll check it out.

FYI Claude has fixed the 2 issues affecting my app stemming from the recent changes.

Great! Can you do a Pull Request here? If you don't know how to do this, for sure Claude Code can help you, he can even do it for you. I strongly recommend using this extension in VSCode, it does marvels. It's my 100% do-it-all tool from now on. All my business is driven by this.

You're stretching my very limited capabilities. I've hardly ever used VS Code, sorry and just view my code in Notepad++ and Knack, and cut and paste the code with backup copies stored in Microsoft Word documents.

What information is it that you require?

This is the final code that got everything back working pretty much as it did before your changes I believe

fixed_helper_opacity.js

Claude summary of fixes:

✅ KTL interference - Excluded view_1842 from KTL processing
✅ Z-index issue - Used appendTo: 'body' to escape parent z-index constraints
✅ Positioning jump - Fixed positioning with position: fixed
✅ Helper opacity - Used :not(.ui-draggable-helper) CSS selector so only the original shift gets reduced opacity, not the dragged clone
✅ Employee Name clearing - Added explicit clearing of both field_1933 and field_1932 when moving to [Unassigned shifts]
