Compatibility issues with ESP32-p4

I am using the ESP32-P4 chip, and after connecting to the SSID and entering the password, the save fails. The 192.168.4.1/edit page also shows a file error message. Could it be a file system incompatibility issue?

Unfortunately, I don't have a P4 so I can't test it myself. What kind of error are you getting?

Try enabling the logs for both the library and the Arduino core.

In the library file SerialLog.h set debug level to 3 (the most verbose)

For the core, I think "error" level might be enough

I tried with a p4, and it fails in WiFiScan.cpp esp_wifi_scan_start() which immediately returns and AP mode is initiated

the WiFi and BLE subsystems changed considerably for the p4, since it uses an external c6 for networking

there is a race conditions if the esp_hosted sdio pins need reconfiguring, also AP config must be erase from NVRAM before scanning works

@cotestatnt I think it will be next to impossible to support a p4 without access to the hardware

I fear you're right.
I was actually considering picking one up to add to my graveyard of boards that will never see any real-world action 😆

I guess it would be best to create a dedicated P4 example as I expect more fallout to happen
