Anyone wishing to improve something, implementing new features, writing tests and documentation or fixing bugs is invited to fork the repository, make a feature branch on their own repository and then submit that to us as a pull request. Any suggestions and patches are much appreciated.
Covert offers paid compensation to developers who make valuable open source contributions. First have at least one of your PRs merged, or maybe a few, and then contact us or we may contact you to discuss payment for them and for future work.
If you are just learning to code and wish to contribute, still feel free to fork our repository, make a PR and have us guide you on how improve it until it can be merged. You will become a better coder and will gain valuable references that can be useful for your first real coding job. Many employers ask for samples of your prior code and any open source contributions are highly valuable in such interviews.
We also try to accept all contributions and not just leave PRs and issues hanging as many other projects do. This takes time on our part but we find it extremely rude not to react in any way when someone makes a contribution.
Feel free to post to this thread just to say hello, or with any related questions on your contributions and how to get started!

With this post we would also wish introduce two new developers who just joined the team:
@rocketdey implemented the combining of short CLI arguments, improving usability and making Covert CLI more compatible with
gpg
and especiallyage
. He is currently working on other features as well as increasing our test coverage.@sh-dv is joining forces with us to help create a Javascript implementation of Covert that can run in browsers. Have a look at Covert Web for current progress.
