Hi，I meet a confused error like this：

$: which gcc
/usr/bin/gcc

$: git clone https://github.com/toddr/XML-Parser/
$: cd XML-Parser

$: perl Makefile.PL
Couldn't find your C compiler
Compilation failed in require at Makefile.PL line 4.

Could you please give me more information?

$ echo $PATH
$ gcc -v

[toddr]

It may be bad output. XML::Parser depends on libexpat. Are you able to install this?
