(dev) bridge kosync hash differs from booknexus

I have conflicting book hashes between booknexus and this project. It is all a bit of a black box, so i'm not quite sure which side is "correct", or if booknexus alters the book file slightly.

a quick vibe coded hash checker script gives the same result as the bridge, so I am inclined to point fingers at booknexus

(oh i wish i could get a sideloaded koreader for ios)

Not sure which branch you’re in but I have put substantial work into getting BookNexus working which is currently in testing on dev branch. If everything goes well the next couple of days it will be an official release this weekend. I use Readest on iOS which does not have any of there issues Get Outlook for iOS<https://aka.ms/o0ukef>

I'm really at a loss with this one.
Couple trouble shooting tasks:

Have you tried re-downloading the book inside of booknexus?
Are you sure that the file matched in bridge is the same file being accessed by booknexus?
If both those are true can you paste debug logs for both booknexus and bridge.

I am sure it is the same file on the CWA side. I think booknexus is up to shenanigans somehow (posted in the booknexus discord; the dev was gonna look into it).

i also can't force a recompute or tell which hashing strategy booknexus uses

I wanted to pull the epub out of booknexus to do some testing, but it doesnt seem to give access to the files from the files app -- and apple in its wisdom wont let me in to the app library files :/

fwiw, I also had issues Booknexus keeping sync (it would work on initial pull from the OPDS server but not after that).

ABS-KoSync-Bridge is matching the hash from both my KoReader app on Android and the kosync server I set up for my xteink X4 reader.

@cporcellijr I wonder if the fix I just pushed up in PR 151 for the KoSync issues I was having might also fix this...? I can try testing on my end with BookNexus, too.

Actually, thinking this through further: if BookNexus is pushing the wrong hash up, maybe this could be fixed by a page in the UI under settings that lets you match "orphaned" hashes to the correct ABS book. however that would only work if BookNexus isn't changing the hash for the book somehow every time you sync - i.e. if the hash is staying the same each time, and BookNexus is simply calculating the hash differently. I'll poke at this more...
