[5.x]: Entry Type View Mode inconsistency with 'UI Label Format' field

What happened?

Description

When using entry types specifically within a matrix field, my preference is to set their view mode to Blocks. I've noticed that with the new 'UI Label Format' field, other matrix view modes (such as 'cards') will only display the label - which is nice and clean.

However when using the 'Block' view mode, it shows all available field information which has always felt messy.

Is it possible to just cleanly display the UI Label Field format for the 'Blocks' matrix view mode as well? This has always been this way to my knowledge, it is not specific to 5.9.x

This is working as expected so I converted your issue to a discussion.

Another possibility is #15053 (use a full element card as the collapsed state for blocks).

@brandonkelly That idea (#15053) has really grown on me. Collapsed matrix fields do indeed look kinda awkward and this could help a lot!

Yeah I like it better now that cards and blocks are pretty similarly styled.

Exactly, they're more consistent so it would be easier to swap one for the other 🙂
