fix: Updates for 0.29 (Pipeliner, perryprog)

This updates fixes qw for 0.29 trunk with fixes from #2,
#3, and #5. It also has updates for the removal of Deep
Dwarves.

Code at or near the relevant changes has been re-indented as appropriate
for line length, but much work remains in that regard.
