Also having used Clear Case UCM, I know where you are coming from, nice job!
Can I suggest that you produce a simplified output?
By that, I mean, allow a check box option that will exclude all 'ordinary' commits. Not all of them, just the ones that are tagged, or have had a branch created off of them.
That will allow for a far more concise (and in our case, relevant) image generation.
