Description
Problem
Links may be broken on the CreativeCommons.org website, sometimes by "link rot" where a previously available URL goes dead.
Description
Wikipedia implemented a solution for this issue by having links to external sites automatically save copies to the Internet Archive and repointing links to the archived versions when external links go dead (More than 9 million broken links on Wikipedia are now rescued | Internet Archive Blogs)
Alternatives
Some capability to just get reports on broken links on the CC website would be an acceptable halfway measure to address this issue, but would then still require manual intervention to address linkrot.
