User error or bug? There's no way to "select" shelves for sync to Kobo.

I can't get Kobo to sync for the life of me. Any time I enter my API URL (http://192.x.x.x:8083/kobo/[api-key] into a browser, I EXPECT to see a list of all my books, but instead I only get {}

Trying to resolve, I confirm that "Enable Kobo sync" is checked and that my user (which is an admin) has the ability to view/dl anything.

There's an option "Sync only books in selected shelves with Kobo"

But what does that do??? I would have expected that upon checking that, I'd see a list of shelves to select! Otherwise, what's the point? To be clear, NOTHING happens when I check that box. I have created a test shelf and added a book to it, but how does one "select" the shelf?

I can't tell if I'm missing something, or if there's a bug preventing the shelves from being presented to "select" them. I checked the shelf itself for some "Select" or "Kobo Sync" option, but there's nothing there at all.

What am I missing?

FYI, I'm on the "stable" update channel. Do I need to switch to "Nightly"?

I'm sorry to say, but the UX/UI leaves a ton to be desired. It took me a WEEK to find the setting.

Seriously, this app has like 12 different places to try to find settings, but this was the strangest.

Admin -> Edit Basic Configuration -> Feature Configuration -> Enable Kobo Sync <--- TO ANY REASONABLE PERSON, that is the thing to enable. At that point, the shelves should be able to be designated as Kobo shareable.

But I read somewhere that you have to enable it for the user. Of COURSE that happens in the USER's settings, right? Nope... nothing there. Ok, it is in the Admin's user's settings? Sure, sort of... but right at the top of Admin is "USERS" and that summarizes ALL the settings for the users, right? Lol, no.

From there you have to click on Edit Users, and THEN scroll over and put a check mark under "Sync Selected Shelves with Kobo". Sigh. And even after all that, there's an "Allow/Deny" radio button that does nothing (so why is it there?).

I'm venting. Partly because nobody helped, but also because you need the feedback... that UX is a mess. Its like someone said "what's intuitive to achieve this" and then deliberately did the opposite.
