As far as I know, the Dolby encoders aren't free. They cost pretty hefty licensing fees. At least that's what my research on the topic revealed when I was looking into converting to EAC Atmos for better compatibility with the AppleTV. It's not even easy to buy. They only sell it to partners, like studios. |

I see, i should have looked first online for this. You can convert to EAC3 DDP+ but then it's better to use the PCM 7.1 channel i guess no? |

Hi there,
I had been thinking. I am using a Sonos surround system with Apple TV with infuse.
It would be a cool idea to optionally also convert the TrueHD 7.1 or DTS-X to Dolby Atmos 5.1 surround. As of now it outputs 7.1 PCM as TrueHD is not supported.
What are your thoughts?
