+Die nächste Version von Cryptomator Desktop steht in den Startlöchern – und bevor wir das finale Release veröffentlichen, laden wir euch ein, die Beta von Version 1.18.0 auszuprobieren. Neben praktischen neuen Features und wichtigen Bugfixes gibt es diesmal auch einen besonderen Aufruf an unsere Community.

+## Neue Features & Fixes
+
+Mit Cryptomator Desktop 1.18.0 bringen wir wieder einige Verbesserungen und Bugfixes für alle Plattformen:
+
+#### Neues Feature
+
+- Merken des letzten Tresor-Speicherorts
+ Wenn ihr einen neuen Tresor erstellt, schlägt Cryptomator nun automatisch den zuletzt gewählten Speicherort vor. Das macht die Einrichtung komfortabler, besonders wenn ihr mehrere Tresore in ähnlichen Ordnerstrukturen ablegt.

+#### Fixes
+
+- Linux/KDE: QuickAccess-Einträge
+ Unter KDE wurden bei jedem Entsperrvorgang ein neuer QuickAccess Eintrag im Dolphin Dateimanager erstellt, auch wenn ein Eintrag schon existierte (z.B. durch ein unerwartetes Schließen der App). Dieses Verhalten ist nun behoben – alte Einträge werden wieder verwendet und es ist kein manuelles Aufräumen nötig.
+- Vermeidung riesiger Logfiles
+ Unter Windows konnte in seltenen Fällen Logdateien der App extrem groß werden, was zu Systemproblemen führte. Die existierende Größenbegrenzung der Logdateien wurde dabei umgangen. Dies ist behoben, sodass die App ohne Probleme im Hintergrund ausgeführt werden kann.
+- macOS: Stabilität beim Speichern von Tresor-Passwörtern
+ Einige Nutzer:innen erlebten einen App-Crash, wenn sie das Tresor-Passwort speichern wollten. Dieser Fehler ist nun behoben, sodass die Passwortspeicherung unter macOS zuverlässig funktioniert.
+- macOS: Erkennung von macFUSE unter macOS 26
+ Unter der kommenden macOS-Version 26 wurde macFUSE teilweise nicht erkannt, was zu Problemen beim Einbinden von Tresoren führen konnte. Dieses Problem ist behoben, damit Cryptomator auch auf den neuesten macOS-Versionen reibungslos läuft.

+## Wir brauchen eure Unterstützung!
+
+Neben diesen Neuerungen gibt es diesmal noch eine Besonderheit:
+Unser Windows-Installer ist ab sofort mit einem neuen Zertifikat signiert. Da dieses Zertifikat im Microsoft-Trust-Netzwerk noch nicht bekannt ist, kann es vorkommen, dass Windows beim Installieren der Beta-Version einen Sicherheitsdialog anzeigt.
+
+Je mehr Personen die Beta installieren, desto schneller wird das Zertifikat akzeptiert – und der Dialog verschwindet. Keine Sorge: Der Installer ist weiterhin sicher und von uns signiert. Windows muss lediglich „lernen“, dass das neue Zertifikat vertrauenswürdig ist.

+Mit Version 1.18.0 machen wir Cryptomator wieder ein Stück komfortabler, stabiler und zukunftssicherer. Die Beta ist dabei ein wichtiger Schritt – nicht nur, um die neuen Features und Fixes zu testen, sondern auch, um unser neues Zertifikat im Windows-Ökosystem zu etablieren.

+The next release of Cryptomator Desktop is right around the corner – and before we publish the final version, we'd like to invite you to test the beta of version 1.18.0. Along with useful new features and important bug fixes, this release also comes with a special call to our community.

+## New Features & Fixes
+
+With Cryptomator Desktop 1.18.0, we’re once again bringing improvements and bug fixes across all platforms:
+
+#### New Feature
+
+- Remember Last Vault Location
+ When creating a new vault, Cryptomator will now automatically suggest the last chosen storage location. This makes setup more convenient, especially if you manage multiple vaults in similar folder structures.
+
+#### Fixes
+
+- Linux/KDE: QuickAccess Entries
+ On KDE, each unlock process created a new QuickAccess entry in the Dolphin file manager, even if one already existed (e.g., after an unexpected app crash). This is now fixed – existing entries are reused, and no manual cleanup is needed.
+- Prevention of Huge Log Files
+ On Windows, log files could in rare cases grow extremely large, causing system issues. The existing size limit of log files was bypassed in those cases. This has been fixed, so the app can safely run in the background without issues.
+- macOS: Stability When Saving Vault Passwords
+ Some users experienced app crashes when trying to save a vault password. This bug has now been fixed, so password saving on macOS works reliably.
+- macOS: macFUSE Detection on macOS 26
+ In the upcoming macOS version 26, macFUSE was sometimes not detected, leading to problems when mounting vaults. This issue is fixed to ensure Cryptomator works smoothly on the latest macOS releases.

+## We Need Your Support!
+
+In addition to these updates, there’s something special this time:
+Our Windows installer is now signed with a new certificate. Since this certificate is not yet widely recognized in Microsoft’s trust network, Windows may display a security prompt when installing the beta version.
+
+The more people install the beta, the faster the certificate will gain trust – and the security dialog will disappear. Don’t worry: the installer is still safe and signed by us. Windows just needs to “learn” that the new certificate is trustworthy.
+

+With version 1.18.0, we’re making Cryptomator more convenient, stable, and future-proof. The beta is an important step – not only to test the new features and fixes, but also to establish our new certificate in the Windows ecosystem.
