Windows Server 2025 and Unattend-Generator

Is anyone out there using Windows Server 2025? If so, do you know if the Unattend-Generator supports it?

I have virtually no experience with Windows Server editions. I have once installed Windows Server 2025 from the 26100.1742.240906-0331.ge_release_svc_refresh_SERVER_EVAL_x64FRE_en-us.iso image with an answer file, which worked reasonably well.

One issue is that autounattend.xml files created by my generator use a product key not only to activate Windows, but also to select the image to install. This mechanism is obviously not able to distinguish between images like

• Windows Server 2025
• Windows Server 2025 (Desktop Experience)

Therefore, you might have to add an InstallFrom element to your autounattend.xml file manually.
