Adding a booking sometimes takes a long time

Sometimes when sending a booking, nothing seems to happen. While the request is pending, the "Send" button is also still clickable. This may prompt the user to click it repeatedly, which leads to a large amount of copies of the same event being created.
Similar behavior might also happen when you try to log in via Gamma.
