Fix shortcomings in YAML/Python data models

Cube supports YAML for data modeling as well as Python and Jinja for data modeling and configuration. However, there are a few shortcomings that we'd like to address to ensure great developer experience.

It's currently planned for May 2025.

Resolved issues (related to YAML data models):

• {cube.sql()} is not supported in YAML/Python #7484
• fix(schema-compiler): Allow escaping of curly braces in yaml models #9469

• Rollup Designer in Cube Core is broken for YAML data models #5989

Resolved issues (related to Python support):

• Allow to import Python files from cube.py #8443

Fixed bugs:

• prefix or public keys break meta #8335
• fix(schema-compiler): Fix model validation for aliased included members for views #9398

Fixed bugs (related to data model extension):

• Cubes using sql_table can't be extended with sql #8519
• Joins are not inherited (when extends is used) #7137
• Pre-aggregations are not inherited via extends in YAML-based models #9269
• Dimensions with missing type in child cubes don't break data model compilation #8609

Skipped issues (fixing them would introduce additional complexity to the data model validation):

• Incomplete data model validation: an array is accepted as time_dimension in a pre-aggregation definition #9138
• Incomplete data model validation: strings are accepted in the list of dimensions in a pre-aggregation definition #9137
