Adding additional fields

I couldn't find any configurable or easy way to add additional fields to the meta data. For example, meta keywords is an important field that is missing from default fields. Can anyone please provide any pointers if I am missing anything or provide a way to add additional fields?

Meta Keywords are not considered relevant (https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2009/09/google-does-not-use-keywords-meta-tag) which is why this package doesn't include it. What other fields do you think are missing?

Thank you for the explanation @pauldwight . That field unfortunately is a client requirement for us. Also related to social media, Facebook has the app ID tag which becomes useful in integration in certain contexts. Overall I believe it would be a good idea to have a way to extend the module to add additional metatag fields based on individual requirement.

If there is any way to do that, I would be grateful if you can point me towards it. Otherwise it can be a feature request and once I have some scope, I can also try and create an implementation plan and help write the feature.
