After upgrading to 13.4.0 from 12, getting before each hook errors

Upgraded from cypress 12.17.4 to cypress 13.4.0 after the migration some tests fail with an error when running split on an undefined object. The tests work in CI correctly when test replay is not used (not recording). When using test recording, they seem to randomly fail in different tests. Used to work on 13.3.0 but we had to revert due to performance issues with that version.
