How do I re-use sessions when using cypress run?

Hello,

I am using cy.session in my e2e tests, and when using cypress open, the cached session is restored. This saves a lot of time during test development on my local machine.

However, sessions are not cached (across different files) when using cypress run. I have many tests which login as the same user and it would reduce runtime in CI if I could re-use that session like I can with cypress open. Is this possible?

I am using cy.session(...) like so:

cy.session("testuser", () => {
  // in this function I have code which:
  // - checks if the user exists
  // - creates them if they don't
  // - logs in as them
}, {
  cacheAcrossSpecs: true,
  validate() {
    // in this function I have code which verifies the user is logged in
  }
});

I am using Cypress 13.13.3 on Linux.
