Drop support for ESLint v7 and v8 in a new major breaking release.
Why is this needed?
- ESLint v7.x end-of-life was reached on Apr 9, 2022.
- ESLint v8.x end-of-life was reached on Oct 5, 2024.
The eslint-plugin-cypress relies on a supported version of eslint for execution. If ESLint support for a certain version ends, then consequently the corresponding support in the Cypress ESLint plugin must also be withdrawn.
