Guys connecting Librachat with openrouter api then connect n8n-mcp to Librachat or Perplexity Ai connector which will give more usage than Claude is that possible ???

es—use an MCP-capable chat client and point it at n8n-mcp.
Two easy options today:

1. LibreChat + OpenRouter (works cross-platform)

LibreChat already supports MCP servers and lets you pick OpenRouter as the LLM provider. So you can keep costs/flexibility with OpenRouter models and still call tools from n8n-mcp.

Restart LibreChat; the n8n-mcp tools will appear in the chat/agent UI, and prompts will go through OpenRouter. (LibreChat docs show MCP server config and OpenRouter/custom-endpoint setup.)

2. Perplexity (Mac app) as the client
   Perplexity’s Mac app supports local MCP connectors. You can add an MCP connector whose command is npx -y n8n-mcp (or your Docker run), then toggle it under Sources. Remote MCP is “coming soon,” so today this is Mac-only.

Notes & tips

• n8n-mcp is an MCP server (tool provider). It works with any MCP client (Claude Desktop, LibreChat, Perplexity Mac, etc.). The repo README shows quickstarts (npx, Docker) and environment vars if you also want it to manage n8n via API.
• If you want OpenRouter + MCP with your own custom client, OpenRouter’s docs show how to drive MCP servers while using OpenRouter as the model backend.
• If you specifically want Perplexity models but not the Mac app, OpenRouter exposes Perplexity’s Sonar family (and others), so LibreChat + OpenRouter can call those models while still using n8n-mcp tools.

Bottom line:

• LibreChat + OpenRouter + n8n-mcp → works now on any OS.
• Perplexity Mac + n8n-mcp → works via Local MCP connectors (Mac-only for now).
