Nginx host not found - Mesos environment

Hi - We are facing nginx host not found upstream error frequently. The nginx instance is built as a docker image and running as a microservice in the Mesos-Marathon cluster. Nginx runs fine on few slaves. But is failing to come up on others. Hence, the nginx configuration files cannot be suspected.
There are DNS resolution issues were coming up for few other configured services.
Hence, I am suspecting if it is something to do with mesos-dns. We use zookeeper along with mesos-dns to keep track of the leading masters
There had been few instances around the same time when marathon was throwing cannot find leader. We had performed marathon restart.

Please suggest what could be the possible causes for this issue and suggested resolutions.
