Sorry for the spam, but I couldn't reopen issue #786.
Hi10p playback is still stuttering, which I know it's not the Stick's fault, because that other client (VoidTV) could play the video (even with subtitles) perfectly with MPV without any performance issue. The override that you've done seems to be faulty in some way, as it doesn't seem to activate hardware acceleration

Yeah, that's why it's strange that the VoidTV dev somehow managed to fix it for his app. Seems like this might be a bigger deal than I initially thought...

And reading that issue, it's heavily outdated. The artifacting issue has been solved a long time ago, and it's just a matter of overriding the compatibility report to use the HW decoder for Hi10p (which is the same decoder as H.264 8-bit, according to the VoidTV dev...)

I think I misread the original issue because the fix I did in #935 only applies to ExoPlayer to prevent transcoding there.

I'll have to look into how/if this can work for MPV too.
