Keyboard cry for help

Hi guys, first time here, long time lamer.
I need guidance, help and probably a little luck.

Is it possible and hopefully easy to modify the input from the physical keyboard of RM2?

I am a writer and I come from the french part of Switzerland. We basically use the Qwertz keyboard, as the German do, but with èéà instead of üöä.
I would very much love to acquire RM2, as I suffer from a lot of distraction when using a computer (gaming temptation is always there). Hélas, the RM2 physical keyboard is only available in the German Qwertz version (and I cannot use azerty, as sane people do). I would just like to hit ö on a keyboard and get a é (and then gently paint another letter instead of the umlauty vowels)
I know there are other products available boox and co, but they all come with the sweet possibility of my soft addiction

Is that feasible with the hack? Can I go ahead and buy that product?
