Triggering Packet Sender

The Goal is to have a calendar event trigger Packet sender to send a UDP string to another device.

• I would want to have 20-50 preloaded strings
• Based on a word or phrase from the event, it would send the selected string.

This might not be all on Packet Sender to handle but trying to find a way to manage a trigger coming into packet sender and sending out the response

This is just brainstorming. It might help you get on the path you need.

• I've not used it myself, but there is a tool called "taskschd.msc" in Windows for setting up events at certain times. That could be done along with Packet Sender's command line interface to send packets.

• Packet Sender supports sending a pre-saved packet using the "-n" option for the name of the packet.

• The latest version of Packet Sender now supports smarter responses. You can now do partial matching (Like "ends with", "contains"). It does not reply with a built-in packet, but you can use macros in the response.

How close do those ideas get you? With a bit of scripting logic, it might solve your problem.
