Max token chat gpt4o

I had an Error for max token. 30k or so when using chatgpt 4o
The chat had few files uploaded in the beginning. And it wasn't that long.
I've configured RAG API, using default settings and tried it.

I'm not sure how the rag works as those files were already used and I've attached them from the app UI itself, not from the disk.

Appreciate if it can be elaborated, one I've upload a file do I get the info from the RAG?
Does it attach it every time?
Or those ocons/names of files are just to mark to the RAG, hey use those files embeddings?
Do i have the option to set the chat to act like sliding window?
Does the chat has a summary in mellisearch and also get into the RAG, so every new message gets previous chats as a context?
