Models from .env file are not populating

Hi,

I am running LibreChat on Docker. I have adjusted the .env file to the settings below.

I have made my models the following:
ANTHROPIC_MODELS=claude-3-opus-20240229,claude-3-sonnet-20240229,claude-3-haiku-20240307
GOOGLE_MODELS=gemini-2.0-flash-exp,gemini-1.5-flash,gemini-1.5-flash-8b,gemini-1.5-pro
OPENAI_MODELS=chatgpt-4o-latest,gpt-4o-mini,o1,o1-mini

I have deleted my container and reinstalled everything. I am still getting the original models that aren't even listed in my .env file.

If you’re using Redis, the cache needs to be flushed on restart. Also, you need to make sure to restart containers after editing env file:

docker compose down
docker compose up

I'm not running REDIS. I have restarted docker to no avail.

try to clear your browser cache or open an incognito/private browser window to see if that's the issue

Thanks for the suggestion. I just used Safari, Chrome, and Brave. Cleared my cache in all of them. It didn't work out. It's still showing models that aren't in my updated .env

make sure the fields you're trying to update are uncommented in your .env, and re-restart LibreChat using

docker compose down
docker compose up -d

That did the trick! How do you know what should be uncommented in the .env for future reference?

You only need to uncomment a variable if you want to modify its value, otherwise you can leave it as is
