[Question]: Is there a way to run LibreChat without requiring authentication?

What is your question?

I love this project and want to embed it in a place where login wouldn't be necessary and would be confusing. Is there a way to disable the login requirement OR define a default user context in the config so we can host this experience within another app?

I'm open to any real option as to make it so that a user does not need to log in. Is there a way to embed Librechat in an IFrame, for example, with no login context?

Thanks for the response! I've seen this asked for a couple of times in the Discord channel. I have a code change that allows a default user/password to be set in the .env file and then auto-logged in from the AuthContext.tsx in the client.

Would you be interested in me turning this into a feature request and sending a PR?

Any updates on this? I ran into an issue someone else had where on tab refresh or browser restart it would ask for auth every single time. Seems great for a hosting solution but for me the whole auth system is just an inconvenience for a single user machine running locally.

@salemjc I ended up patching it to allow for a username/password in the .env file and if it exists, auto-log that user in. It's hacky but it works. I even made a PR here (#5531), accidentally so you can see what I did. You'll need to merge upstream because that file changed a bit, but not much. Requires that you have your own fork of the repo. If they ever support something like this, I'll pull my hack out of my fork.
