Thinking model settings (Sonnet 3.7, etc.)

I frequently use Sonnet model, now with 3.7 it received "thinking" mode, which is enabled by default under model settings. However, most of the time I don't need thinking mode, so I created a custom preset where thinking is disabled
I have two questions about solution above:

1. On the UI there is no visual indication that you've applied a custom preset (until you open a Parameters side panel). Sometimes, when I create a new chat, I forget to switch to a preset, which triggers Sonnet in thinking mode, which not desirable. Maybe I missed it, but seems there is no way to see if you're on a custom preset (without expanding right side Parameters panel).
2. Is there any way to change default settings, i.e. I want thinking to be disabled by default, so every time I select a model, it's not "thinking", thus faster and cheaper. You can do it with presets, but it requires more steps - when start a new chat, you should always remember to check that thinking is disabled.

I think you should use Agents instead, which will deprecate presets at some point.

Presets themselves only apply conversation settings and do not persist after the fact.

Thanks, yeah, seems agent is a better option, at least there is visual indication with agent name, so you know where you are and which settings were applied.
