[Sonnet 3.7] Unable to Save & Submit AI message when thinking is enabled

What happened?

Trying to edit a message generated by Sonnet 3.7 with thinking enabled prints the following error:

Steps to Reproduce

• Select Sonnet 3.7
• Enable thinking
• Say anything
• Try to edit its reply (no need to actually change anything)
• Press "Save and submit"
• You get an error message

Not a bug, it's a provider limitation. The error message is pretty clear:

When thinking is enabled, a final assistant message must start with a thinking block. We recommend you include thinking blocks from previous turns. To avoid this requirement, disable thinking

So if you disable thinking, you're able to save & submit

Thank you for clarifying! Though I don't really consider the error message to be clear. My interpretation was that LibreChat didn't format the edited message properly, that's why I thought it was a bug! (Though I certainly was confused that nobody has filed an issue yet. That's why I waited so long even though I noticed the bug on the day LibreChat added Sonnet 3.7!)

The error message does not say it's impossible to edit assistant messages when thinking is enabled, just that it needs a specific formating, no? Though the docs make it way more explicit, thanks. I guess the signature makes it impossible to edit the thinking part!

Thank you for clarifying, I didn't think it was possible to disable or enable thinking mid-session!
