I saw that you can export whole conversations, but is it possible to download specific messages?

Also, I'm going to be setting up a custom endpoint that will return csv's, is there a way to have it show the csv in the chat and allow user's to download it?

No, LC cannot create and serve files.

But, you can create quite simple MCP server with "save to CSV" tool that LC can call and this will create file for you...

I haven't really used MCP or Agents in LC, so I'm not fully clear on how this works. Would it let me have CSV files attached to particular messages and download them? Is there an example somewhere I could reference.

Also I noticed that in the docs it said:

Most existing MCP servers use stdio processes, which work well for local, single-user environments but pose significant challenges for multi-user and production platforms.

Is this still true, or is that an outdated/inapplicable warning, because I'm deploying LC for multiple users?

Creating CSV's and virtually most file types is possible with the Code Interpreter API:

Hey Danny,
Thanks for the response. I'm not sure if I'm clear on how this would work for me. My assumption looking at this feature is that whenever an LLM generates code, it allows you to execute it, and in the event it creates a file, it also allows you to download that.

For my use case, I really only care about allowing files to show up as part of response messages and letting users download them, not the sandboxed code execution which seems like the key feature here. (I'm building a RAG and trying to integrate it with LibreChat as a custom endpoint).

Is there some way to get just that part of this service without the sandboxing/other components?
