I would love to see this as well - especially when we can have a possibility to plug in various search engines - in our case it would be more a cloud provider offering... |

+1 on this, OpenSearch and ElasticSearch are very popular search engine, allowing LibreChat to work with them would be super. |

I'm interested in exploring the possibility of extending this project to support additional search engine backends beyond the current Meilisearch integration.
While Meilisearch works well for many use cases, adding support for other search engines (like Elasticsearch, Opensearch, Solr, Algolia, or Typesense) could:
Before I consider contributing to this effort, I'd like to understand:
