Using Reserved Endpoint names as Custom Endpoints, i.e. "Google", "Anthropic"

What happened?

In my LibreChat setup, I intentionally did not define any AI service (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, etc.) in the .env file. Instead, I provided all API keys and model configurations via the librechat.yaml file, using a third-party provider.

While these models (Gemini, Anthropic) work fine in the main conversation interface, they fail when selected from the Agent creation UI.

Specifically, when selecting Gemini (gemini-2.0-flash) or Anthropic (claude-3-5-haiku-latest) models in the Agent dropdown, I receive the following errors:

An error occurred while processing the request:
Please set an API key for Google GenerativeAI in the environment variable GOOGLE_API_KEY

and

Anthropic API key not provided. Please provide it again.

This suggests that while librechat.yaml is correctly used in the main chat interface, the Agent system is ignoring it and requiring .env keys for these providers.

Expected behavior:

When .env does not provide any API key, the system should fully rely on the librechat.yaml configuration—including for Agent creation. The current behavior breaks consistency between the chat interface and agent system.

Additional context:
• The same third-party APIs work fine in the chat interface.
• Only Agent creation fails with missing key errors.

Steps to Reproduce

• 1. Leave all API key fields (OpenAI, Google/Gemini, Anthropic) unset in the .env file.
• 2. Define third-party providers and API keys only in librechat.yaml, like so:

• 3. Start LibreChat and confirm that chat with these models works normally in the main conversation interface.
• 4. Go to the Agents tab and try to create a new Agent.
• 5. In the Model dropdown, select a Gemini or Anthropic model configured in librechat.yaml.
• 6. Observe the error: system reports that no API key was provided, even though it exists in librechat.yaml.

"Google" and "Anthropic" are reserved names. The server will issue a warning soon about this, but you can no longer use these for your custom endpoint names.
