[Enhancement]: Support for OpenAI-style Connectors and Record Mode #7802

There's a lot mentioned here under 1 issue. The integrations for LibreChat may end up looking differently, too, and in general, more brainstorming is required when the requests are simply "Please add X to LibreChat from Y (ChatGPT)" so I've moved to discussions. I'm not sure if we'll add many built-in connectors as first-parties i.e. Google Drive. "record mode" seems like a separate agentic process similar to deep research in that a specific workflow is executed based on a certain button/input. We will definitely be focusing on MCP connectors and treating that as a first-class priority, more than what has already been implemented, because that will allow Google drive and related ilk to function exactly as it does for ChatGPT. |

What features would you like to see added?
Please consider adding support for OpenAI’s new "Connectors" and "Record Mode" features (announced June 4, 2025) in LibreChat. These features dramatically enhance ChatGPT’s ability to interact with internal tools and organizational knowledge — it would be valuable to bring similar functionality to LibreChat, especially for self-hosted and enterprise setups.
More details
On June 4th, 2025, OpenAI announced new features for enterprise ChatGPT users, including:
Connectors: Let users search, access, and act on internal tools or data (e.g., Google Drive, Box, Confluence, Salesforce) from within a chat.
Custom Connectors: Using the MCP (model-completion-plugin) architecture, organizations can define their own internal integrations.
Record Mode: A new input mode that logs conversations in the form of structured meeting notes with metadata and actions.
