[Question]: File upload and tools

Hi Danny, thanks for the awesome updates - I wanted to get a doubt cleared for the presence of two file search for non-agentic endpoints.

What is the difference between the file search from 'attachment icon' and file search from tools? I believe its because if you are using tools select the tools you want and then upload the file for the specific tool...like if file search is added then upload the file for file search, please correct me if I am wrong....

Also it will mark no difference if I do not choose the file search tool on the prompt bar and directly upload the file from the prompt bar using upload for file search...?

This segregation is basically there for the extra tool like the - web search, so just to show which tools I require I pick from the tools list. But to work with the files- docs or image or code file I can choose appropriate option from the attachment icon and then upload the file/doc/image as per the need.
