I got source codes form the tagged 7.8, but it does not have WebSearch-related code.

A few weeks ago, I forked the source code (likely a pre-release version), and it included WebSearch-related code in the main branch. Currently, the main branch for version 7.9 RC still contains WebSearch-related code. Why is it missing from the tagged 7.8 version?
