Can you expand on this? This is a functionality native to OpenAI API and is included with the default parameter set for OpenAI-like endpoint. |

Hi, @danny-avila. Thanks for the response and happy to provide more context. We use Azure OpenAI rather than the public OpenAI service. While they do support the Responses API in API version 2025-03-01-preview and later, they do not support the web search tool. From Azure OpenAI Responses API (Preview):
Additionally, we currently have LibreChat configured to use the 2025-01-01-preview API version, so responses and web search would not work anyway. Worst-case scenario, we can just instruct users to not turn these on, as their calls will fail if they do. But a technical control would feel better. |

Hi @danny-avila. Have been using librechat since a long time and am a big fan of it. Thank you for all the work!! My query is relevant to this discussion. We are using Azure to provide access to the OpenAI models but it does not supports the web search functionality. And so it might be a little problematic then to have the web search parameter on the UI if we don't have support for it. What do you think? |

I love the Parameters section and the customization it allows. However, the Web Search slider doesn't seem impacted by anything in the librechat.yaml file. Is there a mechanism for disabling this UI element?
Thanks!
J.C.
