I’ve successfully deployed LibreChat and am using my own self-hosted machine instead of OpenRouter for model serving.
Setup:
LibreChat deployed
Custom self-hosted machine providing the LLM backend
Not using OpenRouter
What works:
Prompting the model directly works without issues.
What doesn’t work:
MCP servers that are known to work with OpenRouter do not work with my self-hosted backend.
Question:
Is there a compatibility or configuration issue that prevents MCP servers from working with a self-hosted backend?
Any guidance or troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.
