HTTP heartbeat or reconnect with "DisableStreaming: On" to mitigate TCP timeout disconnects.

Is it possible to implement either of the following?

• Keep the connection alive while the browser is waiting for a response from LibreChat (DisableStreaming: On), e.g. by sending periodic heartbeats.
• Reconnect on the browser side if the connection to LibreChat is interrupted.

Context

• I’m trying to use GPT-5 with high-reasoning data-processing tasks that involve internet search.
• I cannot use the streaming API because my organization is not verified in OpenAI (I tried and failed, and now I just cannot restart the process).

I know this isn't a bug in LibreChat but a result of my network setup:

• LibreChat behind nginx reverse proxy
• Multiple middleware layers: NAT, hev-socks5-tunnel, socks5 proxy, etc.

I tried adjusting nginx, proxy, and hev-socks5-tunnel settings to increase the timeout, but the connection becomes very unstable, that forced me to reverse any changes back.

This seems like you have many things in the middle that can be causing this issue. Is the problem that the request closes because of nothing in the event stream for a while?

Yes, exactly. My request to GPT-5 exceeds 60s, but the connection drops at exactly 60s: I've checked this in Dev panel in Chrome many times. I experienced the same issue in SSH and Postgres until I turned on keepalive.

The issue is caused by hev-socks5-tunnel (read-write-timeout: 60000) but if I change this parameter then my internet connection becomes very unstable.
