Chat interfaces vanishes, when no api key was provided

What happened?

Hi,

first of all - what an awesome repository :)
I noticed this strange behavior when I developed a new feature. When no api key is provided (for example in the OpenAI category) and then a message is send the chat interface disappears.

I tested it on the main branch in a chrome browser.

I also noticed that the bug doesn't occur every time

I am running the application from source:
HEAD commit hash: c2f4b38

Steps to Reproduce

1. Run the application in dev mode
2. Follow the steps from the video

If using the openAI endpoint specifically, OPENAI_API_KEY must be set, either with a valid value or user_provided so users can submit an API key via the UI.

In neither are provided, it will not even appear as an option in the LLM select, and I could see there being UI issues if somehow circumvented.

For custom endpoints, since they are configurable, you will still see it as an option since it's assumed to be shown, but you will run into a proper error if API key is not defined.

I don’t think I fully captured everything you mentioned, so let me summarize my understanding:
I’ve been using user_provided keys as the default for all endpoints. This way, the user can select the option to configure their key in the endpoint settings. However, it’s still possible to open the chat interface for an endpoint where no key is currently provided — and it’s even possible to send a message.

Sometimes I do receive the expected error message (as show in your screenshot), which seems correct in this scenario. But other times, the bug I described earlier occurs. Just before the screen goes blank, I can see the red error message briefly appear.
