What happened?

We discovered several bugs in the marketplace functionality that significantly impact usability. Here's a detailed breakdown:

📊 MARKETPLACE DISPLAY & NAVIGATION ISSUES

Bug #1: Limited Initial Display in "All" Category

Steps to reproduce:

Open LibreChat
Navigate to Marketplace
Stay in "All" category

Actual behavior: Only max 6 chatbots/agents visible, no scrolling possible
Expected behavior: All available chatbots/agents should be displayed with scrolling

Workaround: Enter any search term → all chatbots become visible and scrollable

Bug #2: Broken Category-Specific Search

Steps to reproduce:
Switch to any specific category (e.g., "General")
Try to search within that category

Actual behavior:
Category shows only 6 chatbots (same as Bug #1)
Search automatically jumps back to "All" category
No way to search within specific categories
Creates infinite loop: General (6 items) → Search → "All" → Clear search → "All" → Back to General (6 items)
Expected behavior: Should be able to search within selected category and/or seeing more than 6 specific agents

👥 AGENT SHARING & PERMISSIONS ISSUES

Bug #3: Agent Dropdown Behavior with Active Marketplace

Steps to reproduce:
Have both private agents (not shared) and shared agents
Activate marketplace
Check agent dropdown menu

Actual behavior:
Dropdown only shows private/non-shared agents (Owner = user)
Shared agents ("Share with Everyone" + specifically shared) disappear from dropdown
These shared agents appear in marketplace instead
Expected behavior: Unclear if this is intentional, but feels like unintended behavior rather than a feature

Bug #4: File Access Broken for Viewer Permissions (more a sharing issue, than a marketplace issue)

Steps to reproduce:
Create agent with uploaded file for data search
Save agent
Share agent with another user
Set their permission to "Viewer"
Have them try to use the agent

Actual behavior:
Agent doesn't work properly for Viewer
Agent cannot access the attached file
File is not read during user prompts
Expected behavior: Viewers should be able to access files attached to shared agents

Current workaround: Must set shared user to "Editor" or "Owner" permissions

💡 SUMMARY

These bugs severely limit the marketplace's usability, especially for discovering and sharing agents effectively. The display limitations make it nearly impossible to browse categories properly, while the permission issues break the intended sharing workflow.
