Crash with no warning selecting false color.

• I checked and did not find my issue in the already reported ones

Describe the bug

DT shutdowns with no warning when click on "display of individual color channels" in the preference dialogue window. I am just guessing the resent cleanup of the code may have broken in here. I do not have this issue with the other builds.

Steps to reproduce

go to preferance dialogue
click display of individual color channels
DT will shuts down.

Expected behavior

click on "display of individual color channels" expected to choose false color or gray

No

If yes, what is the GPU card and driver?

since it is running inside of the VB no OpenCL is available.
