There were discussions on Discord about this issue. I kind of want to wait and see what direction the mainstream audience chooses as their discord alternative. I don't want the Darling community to be too isolated from the mainstream community... |

Personally, I have my eye on Fluxer as my Discord replacement... as long as they don't get a take down from Discord for how similar the look and feel is: May be worth a look. |

Discord has announced that will introduce a mandatory age verification for ALL Discord accounts and servers form early March. Refusing to give their official ID and biometric facial recognition on you, your account will be set to "teen mode" by default which means will enforce restrictions what can do such as viewing, limiting sending DMs and restrictions on voice chat unless you do the KYC-like tasks.
As I enjoy privacy as much as possible and this is big no no to me and I want the members in our server to migrate to different communication platform, so alternatives exist.
Alternatives must be FOSS, private and decentralized, here is the list I consider it as recommended:
Stoat
Matrix
SimpleX
IRC
Mumble
Spacebar
